Design
Kangoo has a lively look with a steeply raked hood highlighted by a crease and structured fenders. It is also an elegant car, with body-colored or monochrome bumpers and door mirrors and elliptical headlights.
The large glazed surface lets the light flood into the cabin, showing off the generous interior space. Well-designed ergonomics and acoustic comfort make for a relaxed atmosphere.
Driving pleasure
Kangoo is at ease everywhere. It is the most compact car in its category, with a lively character that makes it highly drivable in the city. A dynamic, surefooted car, Kangoo boasts impeccable roadholding over long journeys. Driving comfort is enhanced by the ergonomic design of the reinforced seat with side support and an armrest. The raised driving position provides ideal visibility.
Traveling comfort
Kangoo is packed with clever ideas to make life easier. It has five real seats, easily accessed through the sliding side doors. It includes a host of ingenious stowage compartments: side bins, a drawer under the passenger seat, double map pockets and a vast glove box. The giant 650-liter trunk with its flat floor can be made larger thanks to the 60/40 split-fold rear seat. Children can place their toys on the aircraft-style folding tables. A mirror in the front lets the driver keep an eye on them without turning round.
Safety
Kangoo provides four-star safety (Euro NCAP tests) for all occupants. Its optimized stability is further reinforced by a flexible bar under the front bumper. ABS combined with Electronic Brakeforce Distribution, Emergency Brake Assist and disc brakes at the front ensure surefooted handling in all circumstances. Occupants are protected by four airbags and front seatbelts with pretensioners and load limiters. On the rear central seat, the Isofix system in holds a child seat firmly in place.
Environment
Kangoo was one of Renault's first models to adopt life cycle environment management. Made up of components designed for easy sorting, it is 95% recyclable by body weight. The latest 16V engines and the 1.5 dCi Euro 4 engines consume less fuel and thus producer fewer pollutant emissions. Kangoo is also available in an LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) version.
